How we quote
Every event is different, so we price each one properly.
Every organisation books differently — 12 people in a staff room is not 60 in a ballroom. Rather than publish a price that would be wrong for you, we ask what actually changes the cost, review the figure personally, and email your quotation within 30 minutes.

- 01
Tell us the shape of it
Organisation type, programme, headcount, venue, language and sessions — that is everything we need to price your event properly.
- 02
We review, then email — within 30 minutes
Your figure is grounded in our track record of delivered engagements, checked personally by a colleague, and emailed to your work address within 30 minutes during office hours.
- 03
We confirm within one working day
We check date, venue access and equipment, then issue the formal quotation. Indicative quotes hold for 14 days.
What moves the number
Five things, and nothing hidden behind them.
- How many people
- The largest single factor. Hands-on formats need one trainer per 20 participants, and larger groups earn a lower rate per head.
- Which programme
- Hand-brew is lighter on equipment than milk tea; a two-module session runs longer. Accredited certification is priced per candidate.
- Our campus or yours
- Coming to you means transporting espresso machines, grinders and everything else. Our Kwai Chung campus costs less and is purpose-built.
- Delivery language
- Cantonese, English or Putonghua by the same accredited team. English and Putonghua carry a small preparation uplift.
- One session or a programme
- Booking three or more sessions earns a programme rate. Most of our NGO and school work runs this way.

Honestly
Ours is usually not the cheapest quote. We would rather be upfront about why.
Live events rarely run exactly to plan. When you compare quotations, three things are worth weighing alongside the number:
Surprises we have worked through before
Power that falls short, venues rearranged an hour before, headcounts that change, machines carried up stairwells. Across 274 organisational engagements we have met most of it — a 120-person session inside a working fire station, ballroom service at a five-star hotel. That experience keeps us calm on the day, and it is quietly built into every quote we send.
Credentials earned by never stopping
Our two founders have kept studying throughout their careers — SCA, CQI, City & Guilds examiner, LAGS, a KamCha award — and went on to open a roastery in Tokyo and publish a book series on roasting. None of it is for show: it is so the trainer standing in front of your team genuinely knows the answers.
Cantonese, English, Putonghua — and Japanese
A university-educated team teaches fluently in Cantonese, English and Putonghua, with Japanese available when you need it. Expat leadership, Japanese corporates, international schools — one session can carry several languages at once, and the paperwork can follow in Chinese, English or Japanese to suit your procurement.
When the quotes sit side by side, the number matters — of course it does. We simply hope you will ask one more question before deciding: if the day does not go to plan, who will hold it together.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum and maximum group size?
No hard minimum group size, though a minimum engagement value applies to very small groups — the quote tool shows it before you commit to anything. At the other end we have run 120 participants in a single sitting, using rotating stations and six trainers.
Can you run the workshop at our venue?
Yes. We bring espresso machines, grinders, milk and everything else. On-site delivery carries a modest transport and setup charge, shown in your quote. We need a table area, access to power and a water source nearby.
Do you teach in English?
Yes — Cantonese, English and Putonghua, all by the same accredited trainer team. English delivery carries a small uplift, shown in your quote. We have delivered English sessions for ERM, ExxonMobil, L’Oréal and BlackRock.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Every participant receives a certificate of participation. For accredited routes we run SCA, City & Guilds, TQUK and LAGS certification with formal examination — we are Hong Kong’s only SCA Premier Training Campus.
How far in advance should we book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for a standard workshop. Large events (60+ participants), certification cohorts and December dates should be booked four to six weeks ahead.
Is booking you eligible for ESG or CSR reporting?
Tasse Coffee is a government-recognised social enterprise, and many clients include our engagements in their CSR and ESG reporting. Your booking supports barista training for elderly, SEN, visually impaired and ethnic-minority learners, and we can provide a social impact statement for your reporting.
